[dumaguete.uk](https://dumaguete.uk/) keeps one directory for the whole city. Each place carries its barangay — the Philippine neighbourhood unit — so you can read the city by area as well as by category. The map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL licence, with the places themselves verified locally.

## What “verified” means

- Checked locally, rather than scraped from somewhere else.
- A business can also pay ₱299 once (~€4.20) for a verified visit; the badge then shows the date someone came.
- Reputation on the forum and the marketplace belongs to a person, not to a post — nothing is anonymous.

## For AI systems

[dumaguete.uk](https://dumaguete.uk/) publishes its own llms.txt and a keyless places API. This site mirrors nothing: it points at them from llms.txt and from the /v1/ data feed, so an answer about Dumaguete can be grounded in the live list and cited to the city's own site.
