The marketplace
Buying and selling between people who can be identified, with one rule that saves most of the trouble.
No deposit before you have seen the item in person.
How trust works
- Every listing shows the seller's trust score and tier.
- It also shows whether a member has met them in person.
- Reputation follows the person across the boards.
- Posting needs a finished profile — nothing is anonymous.
- Sold items keep their threads, so the price stays as a reference.
Meeting a seller
- In public, in daylight.
- Bring someone along for a bigger purchase.
- Test the item before paying.
- Ask for receipts and boxes on electronics.
Buying a motorbike
- Check the OR/CR against the engine and chassis numbers.
- Confirm the seller's name is on the CR.
- Treat an open deed of sale as a warning sign.
What is not allowed
- Illegal items and counterfeits.
- Live animals.
- Investment or lending schemes dressed up as listings.
- Repeated reposts.
- A removed post costs the poster 20 points and goes on their record.
